Flirty Rum Cocktail
I’ll admit it, I’m a salt-rim kind of girl. A classic margarita has been my go-to “drinky drink” for ages. But when girl’s night calls for something themed, I’m always game. Enter: the Flirty Rum Cocktail. This gorgeous red sip comes with a sweet strawberry-sugar rim that’s just as fun on the glass as it is sprinkled on a rice cake treat (yes, I tested it and it’s delicious).
Ingredients (Makes 2 Cocktails)
For the Cocktail:
4 oz toasted coconut rum
1.5 oz fresh lime juice
1.5 oz grenadine
For the Glass Rim:
1 Tbsp cane sugar
1-2 Tbsp crushed freeze dried-strawberries
1 Lime wedge (for rimming the glass)

Place the freeze-dried strawberries in a Ziploc bag. Using a rolling pin (or even a meat tenderizer), crush them until you have a chunky strawberry dust.
Combine the strawberry dust and cane sugar on a small plate. Mix lightly and set aside.
Rub a lime wedge along the edge of each coupe glass. This will help the rim mixture stick the glasses.
Roll the lime coated edge of your coupe glass in the strawberry-sugar mixture until evenly coated. Then set them aside.
In a cocktail shaker, combine the toasted coconut rum, fresh lime juice, and grenadine with ice. Shake well until slightly chilled.
Strain the mixture into your prepared, sugar-rimmed coupe glasses then enjoy! Cheers! Sláinte!
